May 14th 2024 MRA Meeting Highlights

• Memberships have continued to roll in!

• Encouraging all board directors to have their sponsorship money in by June 1st so that we can have all awards ordered and here for finals.

• There was discussion about the new proposed pay scale that had been voted for in the April meeting. This change ended up being denied and there will not be a change to the pay scale for 2024.

• There was a change in dates for finals. The 2024 MRA finals will now be the last weekend in October; October 25th – 27th 2024.

  • The Sanford Center has stated that a profit has to be made or they will cancel year 3 of the contract with them.

• Jacket update: the final 7 jackets are due to arrive a the jacket company before the end of May and then will be shipped out asap so that we can get them to contestants who ordered them.

• The new Finals Bid form has been completed and will be posted so that we can start collecting bids for the 2024 finals.

• The following Rodeos were approved and will be added to the schedule:

  • Buckhorn Rodeo in Britton SD on June 28th and 29th.

  • Monroe County Rodeo in Tomah WI on July 26th.

  • Estelline Rodeo in Estelline SD on June 21st and 22nd.

  • Dodge County Rodeo in Beaver Dam WI on June 29th.

  • Ringler Stampede in Brook Park MN on July 12th, 13th and 14th.

  • Ringler Stampede in Brook Park MN on August 9th, 10th and 11th.

  • Walworth County Fair Rodeo in Elkhorn WI on August 28th.

  • Green County Fair Fall Rodeo in Monroe WI on August 21st.

  • Racine County Fair in Union Grove WI on July 27th.

  • Ransom County Fair Rodeo in Lisbon ND on August 23rd and 24th.

  • Sargent County Fair Rodeo in Forman ND on July 26th and 27th.

  • McLeod Stampede in McLeod ND on June 28th and 29th.

  • Man vs Beast #1 in Little Falls MN on September 14th.

  • Man vs Beast #2 in Little Falls MN on September 15th.
